BlackBerry KEY2 LE Champagne and Atomic colors arrive in the US

TCL has launched its BlackBerry KEY2 LE smartphone in two new color options in the US: Champagne and Atomic. Buyers in the US can get the Champagne color option from multiple destinations, but the Atomic color is being launched as a Best Buy exclusive. These two colors join the “Slate” option; the model’s specs remain unchanged.

The BlackBerry KEY2 LE was launched in the US in October, through buyers could only get it in the relatively utilitarian Slate Grey color. TCL is bringing the two bolder, lighter colors to US buyers as of today through both Amazon and Best Buy, both offering Champagne and only Best Buy offering the bold red “Atomic” option.

Though the two color options are nice, there is one potential issue for consumers: the two new color variants cost about $50 more than the Slate Grey option at $499.99 USD. The two new color options appear to only be in stock through Best Buy at this time, but should appear at Amazon soon.

The BlackBerry KEY2 LE in the US is compatible with GSM networks, which means it can be used with carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile. Despite the price increase, the new Atomic and Champagne options retain identical features to the Slate Grey option.

The model’s design retains many elements from the original BlackBerry KEY2, including a QWERTY keyboard, but has a new soft textured back. The BlackBerry KEY2 LE has a 2.5D Full HD display, a polycarbonate frame, and keys that are almost 10-percent larger than the ones found on the KEYone model.
